How estimates work
We use published national, state and selected metropolitan cost benchmarks. City pages distinguish a verified metro record from a state-level planning benchmark. Every estimate should be compared with current local provider quotes.
What the estimates do not do
They do not determine eligibility, coverage, medical necessity, quality of care, or the best option for a family. Medicare, Medicaid, insurance and legal decisions require official information and qualified professional advice.
